Job Description

The Manchester Institute of Education (MIE) is seeking an outstanding Quantitative Research Associate to join our thriving and dynamic research community. The Research Associate will work as part of a research team under the supervision of Dr Charlotte Bagnall (Principal Investigator, MIE) and co-investigators Professor Pamela Qualter (MIE), Dr Margarita Panayiotou (MIE) and Professor Divya Jindal-Snape (University of Dundee) in order to realise the objectives and development of a research programme around supporting children’s emotional wellbeing over primary-secondary school transitions. The aim of the research is to co-produce, with young people, a sensitive instrument to measure children’s emotional wellbeing during this time, and the successful candidate will be involved in both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis (including conducting a Delphi study, longitudinal psychometric assessment, longitudinal validation, and latent growth curve modelling).
