IT Services at the University of Manchester is a vibrant and fast-moving department, we focus on delivering excellent customer service and quality services for our staff, students and researchers.
The Team
The Governance, Risk and Compliance Team (GRC) manage risk and assurance within the IT Services Directorate (ITS). They are responsible for coordinating the management of function-level risk within ITS, and ensuring that the University maintain appropriate standards of Health and Safety, PCI DSS, etc. GRC collaborate with key functions and stakeholders across the University, working to improve the efficiency of security, governance and risk processes.
The Role
Working within GRC, the Risk and Assurance Analyst (RAA) will be responsible for supporting the identification and evaluation of IT risks and issues. The post holder will be expected to support with Directorate and University-wide audits, including planning, resourcing, reporting, and compliance. In addition, the RAA will review and report on matters relating to Risk, Assurance and Compliance within IT Services.
The RAA will carry out all aspects of operational risk management and assurance, liaising with Subject Matter Experts (SME) for guidance, where required, and liaising with key stakeholders to ensure ownership, progress, and oversight of risk management. They will participate in applicable working groups, monitor, and report on risk status, and assist with the development of risk treatment measures.
