
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Research Technician to join Matthias Sollers lab in the School of Biological Sciences. This position is available for 18 months.
The role will support a wide range of research activities in the field of mRNA processing including the analysis of alternative splicing and polyadenylation as well as mRNA methylation using a Drosophila genetic model. The post holder is expected to perform Drosophila genetics to the highest standards and have experience in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry and confocal imaging.
Applicants should hold a qualification at QCF level 6 (such as a bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in a relevant biological science subject OR QCF level 2 passes (such as GCSE’s) in English and Mathematics and at least one Science subject and substantial relevant experience of working in a research laboratory.
