Job Description

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic part-time Research Technician to join Hilary Ashe’s lab. The post will support the lab’s research aimed at understanding how gene expression and cell signalling dynamics regulate cell fate decisions during Drosophila development.

The successful candidate will be practical, organized and independent, with excellent communication skills. Applicants should hold a qualification at QCF level 6 (such as a bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in a relevant biological science subject or QCF level 2 passes (such as GCSE’s) in English and Mathematics and at least one Science subject and substantial relevant experience of working in a research laboratory. The research technician position is funded at 0.5 FTE for 1 year.
