Job Description

Applications are invited for an enthusiastic Research Project Manager to manage and co-ordinate a programme of work funded by Yorkshire Cancer Research.

The post will based at Saint Mary’s Hospital, in the Gynaecological Oncology research team within the Division of Cancer Sciences and will involve travel to GP sites around Greater Manchester. Professor Emma Crosbie leads the Manchester team. The study sponsor is the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and the analysing laboratory is based at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL).

The successful candidate will be required to support this cross-institution research to successfully deliver the project objectives and will be responsible for the co-ordination and day to day running of the study in Manchester. The position offers an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic, well-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal, communication, IT, and organisational skills to work in a multi-disciplinary research environment and build on your scientific project management skills.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate their ability to work with minimal supervision and have experience within research/industry/NHS/academic setting, preferably in biomedical sciences.

It is envisaged the successful candidate will be in post by early August 2025 with an interview date of June (TBC)
