
About this Role
HospitalityOnCampus wishes to appoint a motivated, enthusiastic and passionate person to assist with daytime and evening hospitality across multiple venues on campus.
Individuals will carry out hospitality and event services across the campus (including café and restaurant service within the departments dining areas, as well working on weddings, events, conferencing and hospitality), ensuring that specific standards of customer service and hospitality are continuously delivered across all events in an efficient, safe and hygienic manner in line with health and safety requirements and related training/instruction.
The post holder will deliver excellent hospitality service for a range of events to the agreed standards, including the setting up and service of functions and weddings, as well as working within some of cafes on campus, including Manchester Museum and Whitworth Art Gallery.
Candidates should have good a good basic knowledge of Health and Safety and be able to demonstrate an awareness of good customer care/hospitality services. Good verbal communication skills, basic numerical ability and a naturally positive attitude towards a busy/pressurised environment are essential to this role.
No previous experience is necessary – just a passion to deliver great customer service and hospitality.

Hours of Work
This is a flexible vacancy, working on an as and when required basis, with the business potentially operating Monday to Sunday (7 days a week), with both daytime and evening work. Candidates are expected work across the needs of the business and no promised, set shifts being given.
PLEASE NOTE – This is NOT a short-term role. Staff will be required to work over the summer and into the new academic year/Semester (starting September 2025) and beyond, and therefore should be available throughout June, July and August onwards.
