Job Description

This post is available immediately within the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health’s Doctoral Academy which supports all postgraduate researchers (PGR) in the Faculty. The successful candidate will primarily support the operational delivery of the Clinical Psychology Professional Doctorate Programme.

The Doctorate in Clinical Psychology is a three-year programme which includes an academic taught element, a Doctoral Research project and clinical training. It is run in close collaboration between the University and clinical psychologists in north-west England. The programme trains practitioners who are required to fulfil the responsibilities and duties of clinical psychologists in a range of settings. Trainees are employed by the local mental Health NHS Trusts during their training.

The ideal candidate will have strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with an ability to multi-task and work to competing deadlines. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills in order to build strong working relationships with academic and professional services colleagues across the institution, as well as with external stakeholders within the NHS. This post will provide administrative support for the taught element of the programme, attendance monitoring, as well as the PGRs in programme, from admission through to examination.
