We invite qualified candidates to apply for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in the field of nanomanufacturing for large-area electronics. In this role, you will have the opportunity to engage in a stimulating research project focused on developing electronic devices and integrated systems using scalable nanomanufacturing methods. Responsibilities include designing, fabricating, and characterizing nanostructured electronic devices and integrated systems that can operate in the gigahertz frequency range for application in wireless energy-harvester systems. The use of innovative nanopatterning techniques to develop radio frequency rectennas will be a key priority for the project.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a dynamic team of world-leading experts and work in our state-of-the-art facilities, located within the Henry Royce Institute Hub Building at the University of Manchester. The ideal candidate will hold or be about to obtain a PhD or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related discipline, with a solid foundation in solution-processable materials, the manufacturing of radio frequency devices and rectennas, novel nanopatterning techniques, self-assembling monolayers, and relevant processing and integration methods.
As an equal opportunities employer we welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of age, sex, gender (or gender identity), ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and transgender status. All appointments are made on merit.
