
The University of Manchester and Alkegen are looking to recruit a forward thinking and ambitious individual to undertake this 24 month project which has an overall aim of developing innovative next generation filtration solutions for PFAS removal for a global company.
This role offers the successful candidate a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with the company’s technical and manufacturing teams, as well as academic experts at The University of Manchester. The focus will be on the development of innovative filtration technologies designed for the effective capture of PFAS from liquid media. In addition to advancing solutions for the removal of harmful contaminants, the candidate will contribute to embedding novel, sustainable filtration systems within the company’s product portfolio, directly influencing its environmental impact and future sustainability strategy.
Candidates will require a minimum of a 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in Chemical or Textile Engineering (or related discipline)
This post is funded through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) award, a UK Government scheme intended to promote sustained and mutually beneficial relationships between universities and industry.
Based at Alkegen at Rawtenstall (Lancashire) the successful candidate will work directly with supervisors from both the University of Manchester and Alkegen and will use the facilities and resources of both organisations.
Due to the nature of the funding, KTP Associates who have already completed a KTP are not eligible to apply.
