
Creative Manchester is one of three University of Manchester Research Platforms.
It is a University-wide development for advancing inter-disciplinary research in creativity and creative practices. Creative Manchester’s three core research themes are centred on: Creative Industries and Innovation; Creative and Civic Futures and Creativity, Health and Wellbeing. Creative Manchester works collaboratively with the other University Research Platforms; Digital Futures and Sustainable Futures.

The successful candidate will have a record of excellence in research, involving quantitative and qualitative methods, on Creative Industries; on Creativity, Health and Wellbeing; on CreaTech; on Civic and Creative Futures (which are the key Creative Manchester research themes). The candidate will have a record in the development and delivery of activities and initiatives that translate research into beneficial activity or positive change in the wider community beyond academia.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the CM strategy by publishing high-quality peer-reviewed research outputs and by translating their research into activities and initiatives that have a demonstrable positive impact on society. The successful candidate will work with a mentor who is an academic lead from the Creative Manchester Research Platform.
