The Faculty of Science and Engineering seeks to appoint a full-time Admissions Administrator on a permanent basis.
When you’re with us, you’re not only working for the University, you’re working for people in our local communities and beyond, who benefit from our teaching, research and social responsibility. Here, no matter what your role or responsibilities, everyone works together with one common goal.
The role is to support our student admissions processes and ensure that our applicants and offer-holders have an excellent experience and introduction to the University.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to be part of our admissions team supporting our applicants and programme teams, working collaboratively in accordance with good customer care principles. Alongside processing applications and acting as a first point of contact for queries, you will supervise and coordinate the work of the Admissions Assistants and play a key role in supporting open days and visit days (either on-campus or virtual), interviews and confirmation and clearing activities.
You will have experience of working with administrative processes in a customer facing office environment, and knowledge of Student Admissions processes and procedures. The role requires applicants who thrive in a busy team environment, who enjoy interacting and supporting a wide range of people and who are flexible and responsive to customer needs. Strong organisational and accuracy skills are essential, alongside the ability to adapt to changing systems and platforms, and to work and communicate successfully across both face-to-face and virtual channels.
