About Research Finance (RF)

Research Finance manages around £268 million in annual research income from approximately 2,500 active grants and contracts across three faculties. The team oversees all post-award activities and our mission is to empower Researchers to excel on their groundbreaking work by providing professional guidance and exceptional support.

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated, dynamic and organised Research Finance Manager to lead all post-award operations within a designated portfolio, typically covering multiple Departments or Divisions within a School. The RFM will support the Senior Research Finance Manager (SRFM) in improving processes and systems to enhance services for research budget holders, coordinate faculty team workloads, support revenue billing, and ensure compliance with funding requirements.

By ensuring efficient financial management and compliance, the RFM plays a vital role in enabling groundbreaking research that advances knowledge and benefits society.

Candidate Profile
