We have an exciting and diverse opportunity for a Project Administrator to join a team of experienced professional services staff, researchers and epidemiologists, for 1 year in the first instance. The Biologic Studies Group manages some of the largest detailed prospective cohort studies assessing drug safety in inflammatory autoimmune diseases in adults and children in the world. You will be working primarily on the British Society for Rheumatology Biologics Register for Rheumatoid Arthritis (BSRBR-RA) study (www.bsrbr.org) which is currently tracking 30,000 participants with rheumatoid arthritis receiving biologics/biosimilars and other targeted therapies. This role will also be supporting the UK Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (UK JIA) Biologics Register which is a similar study looking at drug safety in children and young people.
Your job would consist, among other things, of monitoring and checking incoming data into the online databases, performing data quality checks, supporting NHS healthcare professionals with data entry and dealing with queries, communicating with study participants, scanning consent forms, assisting with the development of study promotional materials, assisting with training database users and attending meetings as required. Commitment to the development of new skills for professional development is vital.
You should have a good educational background (minimum A levels or previous experience in a similar role) and experience of working with confidential data. You should also have experience in data entry, a good eye for detail and accuracy with a good knowledge of Microsoft software packages. Communication skills are key to this role as you will be part of a close-knit team who rely on each other to ensure the study deliverables are met.
