
A Research Assistant position is available for an outstanding and ambitious biomedical engineer to undertake research in the field of biomaterials for bioprinting. This is a unique opportunity for the selected candidate to join Dr. Domingos group on an industry-sponsored project aiming at the design of new collagen-based inks for 3D bioprinting of human tissues.
You should have, or be working towards, a degree or equivalent in biomaterials, biomedical engineering or similar. Expertise in polymeric hydrogels design and characterization, 3D bioprinting, tissue engineering, biocompatibility testing, and rheological testing techniques are essential. You should be capable of working autonomously ensuring the delivery of pre-defined milestones and outputs in a timely and efficient manner, so excellent organisational skills are required. The appointed research associate will also be supporting Dr. Domingos by report writing and communicating outputs to industrial partner and more broadly to the scientific community.
