Are you ready to make a significant impact at one of the UK's leading universities?
The University of Manchester is seeking a CRM Migration Manager to play a key role in the migration of its Development and Alumni Relations (DDAR) CRM system from Raiser’s Edge to Salesforce. This full-time, fixed-term role is critical to supporting the university’s fundraising and volunteering goals, as well as those in technology and infrastructure. Both will be crucial to the Manchester 2035 strategy.
You will manage and deliver all DDAR business-side objectives of the CRM migration project, reporting to the Deputy Director (Development Services), and managing the DDAR CRM Migration Officer. The position is based in Manchester with hybrid working arrangements.
This migration is the first phase in implementing the university’s CRM strategy. The project is essential for the upcoming fundraising and volunteering campaign launching in November 2025. It is also crucial for broader IT modernisation. Both are part of our new university strategy launching later this year.
Key responsibilities include project delivery tasks such as requirement gathering, design input, data migration oversight, system integration and user acceptance testing, business change support, post-live system assurance, and Raiser’s Edge decommissioning.
You should have proven experience delivering business-focused IT projects, technical management of information systems, relationship building, team leadership, and expertise in CRM systems. Experience of using Blackbaud’s The Raiser’s Edge is crucial. Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential.
The ideal candidate will be perceptive, resilient, collaborative, results-oriented, creative, and willing to work outside normal hours when necessary.
If you are ready to take on this challenge and help shape the future of our CRM systems, we would love to hear from you.
