Overall Purpose of the Job
The Department of Sociology is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Sociology (Teaching & Research) with research expertise in the field(s) of racial inequalities, anti-racism and theoretical debates in ‘race’.
We wish to appoint an innovative, engaging and dynamic colleague who will be able to enhance the quality of our teaching and research. You will teach sociology modules related to your area of expertise and will, as necessary, also contribute to core methods and theory teaching in sociology.
Colleagues on the Teaching and Research track are also expected to contribute to the research agenda of the Department of Sociology and the Centre on the Dynamics of Ethnicity (CoDE). Applicants must have a PhD in Sociology or a cognate discipline.
