Job Description


The School Operations Manager has a key strategic and operational role in the Schools within the Faculty of Humanities. They will support the Director of School Operations, Vice- Dean and Head of uaryhool in the development and implementation of the School’s strategy, planning and governance, and in the day-to-day management of the School. On behalf of the School leadership team, the post-holder will ensure compliance requirements are met, including People processes and procedures, Finance processes and procedures, Health and Safety and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). Overseeing the School Operations team, the post-holder has managerial responsibility for general School operations and the provision of advice and support to the Heads of Departments/Divisions. They will participate in a Humanities Community of Practice with other Schools Senior Professional Service (PS) Operations colleagues, working towards continuous business improvement and standardisation. They will engage with business partners throughout the University and have an excellent understanding of its strategic aims, governance and infrastructure. The post-holder will deputise for the Director of School Operations as required.
