Job Description

About the role:

Applications are invited for a full-time Research Technician to join the Gibbs lab within the Centre for Biological Timing at the University of Manchester. This will involve assisting with a range of project specific research activities including management of colonies of transgenic mice, supporting the running of in vivo pre-clinical mouse models, helping to facilitate the collection of blood samples from healthy volunteers and standard laboratory techniques including QPCR, ELISA, histology and cell staining for flow cytometry.

The role will also entail managing laboratory equipment and consumables stock; supporting undergraduate and postgraduate students and ensuring health and safety and ethics compliance within the laboratory.
