About the Role:

We wish to appoint a Research Assistant to join the Division of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work and also working alongside colleagues within the Healthy Ageing Research Group (HARG), based at the University of Manchester. The post holder will assist on a National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) funded project focused on the implementation and evaluation of a strength and balance platform in care homes in Greater Manchester. The successful candidate will work directly with care home staff and residents, and will assist with research delivery, and data collection.

The role requires experience of working with care homes or adult social care settings and applied knowledge of physiotherapy, rehabilitation, or falls prevention, supporting the translation of research into real-world care environments under the supervision of senior academic staff.

The successful applicant will work with Dr Charlotte Eost-Telling and Professor Emma Stanmore as well as other members of the Healthy Ageing Research Theme and will be based in the School of Health Sciences in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health.

The post is available part-time (2 days a week), as soon as possible for 10 months.
