Job Description


This position is suitable for someone with relevant experience in neuroscience research and is to provide technical support in the laboratory of Prof Simon Luckman within the School of Medicine. You will be expected to work with post-doctoral and post-graduate researchers on a range of neuroendocrine projects. Specific research activities include the running and trouble-shooting of experiments; the maintenance, ordering, use and teaching of research associated materials and equipment; the maintenance of laboratory mouse colonies and the use of mice in behavioural and physiological studies; the use of complex laboratory equipment. You will assist team members in ensuring that staff and students operate safe working practices ensuring health and safety compliance within the laboratories.
