We invite qualified candidates to apply for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in large-area thin-film optoelectronics. In this role, you will have the opportunity to engage in a stimulating EU HORIZON-funded research project focused on developing and fully characterising organic functional materials and their integration into thin-film optoelectronic devices. Responsibilities include designing, fabricating, and characterising thin-film devices, such as photodetectors, with optimised architectures and performance. The use of solution processing and the vacuum sublimation method to create devices with improved hole-transport characteristics will be key priorities for the project.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a dynamic team of world-leading experts and work in our state-of-the-art facilities located within the Henry Royce Institute Hub Building at The University of Manchester. The ideal candidate will hold or be about to obtain a PhD (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related discipline, with a solid foundation in solution-processable materials, device manufacturing, charge transport physics, self-assembling monolayer materials, and relevant patterning techniques.
