About the role
House Services employs over 400 colleagues, with the aim of providing the highest standards in cleaning, portering and associated services, across the University Academic, Teaching and Learning Estate. This role is 35 hours a week Monday- Friday on a flexible basis between the hours of 6.45am -21.30pm.
About you:
We are seeking a House Services Assistant Cluster Manager to support the day-to-day delivery of House Services within the Directorate of Estates and Facilities. Working closely with the House Services Cluster Manager, you will help coordinate cleaning, hygiene maintenance, facilities support, service standards and staff deployment across a University campus.
You should have experience of supporting operational teams, monitoring quality standards and helping to deliver agreed service requirements. The role will involve supporting supervisors and frontline staff, contributing to inductions, staff welfare, attendance, performance and training processes, and escalating operational or customer service concerns when required.
You will need strong organisational, communication and customer service skills, with confidence using IT systems for administration, planning and reporting. An awareness of health and safety, equality, diversity and inclusion, information governance and sustainability is also required.
You will hold a facilities management qualification and/or have relevant practical experience in a comparable operational environment.
