Job Description


We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Campus Parking Supervisor. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the day-to-day operational requirements of the service within a dynamic and inclusive environment.

You will be responsible for:

  • Prepare rota information and collation of annual leave requests for Car Park Attendants and ensure that all cabins are staffed, and that cover is available for sickness and holidays.
  • To monitor the barriers, pay on foot machines, bicycle shelters, and other car park equipment and to carry out simple maintenance and repairs where necessary.
  • Daily enforcement of appropriate parking across campus, and resolution of inappropriate parking, maintaining records of repeat offenders, to be raised with the Campus Parking Manager if required.
  • To raise helpdesk maintenance requests and liaise with contractors to arrange for maintenance and repairs of equipment when required.
  • Supervision of Car Park Attendants, including regular visits to all locations to ensure that University car parks and access points are managed efficiently.

About You

Essential Criteria:

  • A working knowledge of Health and Health and Safety relevant to the role
  • The postholder will have at least 12 months experience in a supervisory role within a frontline service or other relevant experience.
  • Experience of administration in a busy working environment
  • The postholder must have experience of using online systems
  • The postholder will have experience of training and motivating staff

Desirable Criteria:

  • The postholder will need to demonstrate team building skills and a positive approach to customer service.
  • The postholder must demonstrate the ability to work using initiative and with a minimum of supervision.
  • The postholder will have good communication skills, both written and oral and must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and preferably Microsoft 365.
