Job Description

The Role:

Provide strategic leadership and direction for Campus Support, Security Services, Access Control, Crime Prevention, Car Parking and Traffic Management across the University estate. The postholder will lead a multi-disciplinary team through a number of direct reports, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, customer-focused services that support the safety, wellbeing and experience of students, staff and visitors.

The role is responsible for shaping and delivering long-term service strategies, driving operational performance, promoting continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and standards. Working closely with key stakeholders across the University, the postholder will play a pivotal role in creating a safe, secure and welcoming campus environment.

You Will:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for Campus Support & Security, Access Control, Crime Reduction, Car Parks and Traffic Management services.
  • Lead, support and develop a group of managers, ensuring high performance, effective communication and a cohesive service culture.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of long-term strategies for security, mobility, campus support and crime reduction.
  • Act as the University’s senior lead for crime reduction, emergency response coordination and major event security planning.

You Will Bring:

  • Significant leadership experience in a large or complex organisation.
  • Proven ability to lead managers and multi disciplinary operational teams.
  • Experience setting strategy, managing change and driving service improvements.
  • Senior level understanding of security, crime reduction, access control or estates operations.
