Job Description


This is an outstanding opportunity for a Research Assistant, with a background in health and/or data sciences,, to work within the Centre for Occupational and Environmental Health under the supervision of Professor Martie van Tongeren.

The candidate will support the aims of The Health and Occupation Research (THOR) network funded by the Health and Safety Executive. This longstanding and unique project collects data on occupational and work-related disease from participating health professionals (occupational health physicians, respiratory physicians and dermatologists). The data are used to determine trends in occupational diseases in the UK and to identify sentinel cases.

This position offers an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic, well-motivated individual to work as part of a sociable interdisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have excellent data handling and communication skills, and will be able to work within a team.
