Technology Officer

We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Technology Officer within the Division of Development and Alumni Relations (DDAR).

This is an important operational and user-focused role within DDAR, helping colleagues make effective use of the systems, platforms and tools that support fundraising, volunteering, alumni engagement and supporter communications. Working with the Technology Manager, colleagues across DDAR, IT Services and external suppliers, you will help ensure that technology is stable, accessible, fit for purpose and responsive to the evolving needs of the Division.

You will be responsible for:

• Provide first line user support for DDAR systems, resolving straightforward issues and triaging more complex queries to IT Services or vendors as appropriate;
• Help colleagues across DDAR use technology effectively, including supporting training, guidance and adoption of new features and ways of working;
• Support the delivery of technology improvements, updates and releases, including CRM-related activity, in partnership with the Technology Manager and IT Services;
• Assist with business process analysis and the gathering of user requirements so that technology solutions reflect practical divisional needs;
• Help ensure DDAR systems, software, hardware and web tools are stable, accessible and available to colleagues.

• Practical understanding of information systems, relational databases and data management;

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience of Salesforce;
• Experience of CRM systems;
• Experience of reporting tools;
• Experience of SQL;
• Experience of higher education fundraising and engagement.
