Job Description

About The Role

The postholder will lead and support the hospitality vision for the Cultural Institutes in conjunction with the Head of Hospitality Operations and the Executive Head Chef, directing and developing the service to ensure excellent facilities, customer service, food and hospitality standards are consistently delivered.

The role will plan and coordinate cafe, conference hospitality and delivered services across the two institutions, supporting the wider E&F strategic development and performance plan as it applies to Conference, Venues and Hospitality.

About You

  • Strong hospitality and event operations leadership, with experience managing restaurant, café, hospitality and event services, leading teams, and delivering high standards of customer service.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food safety, hygiene, allergens, licensing and Health & Safety compliance, ensuring legal and operational standards are met across hospitality operations.
  • Proven people management capability, including recruitment, training, performance management, staff development, welfare and fostering an inclusive workplace culture.
  • Sound commercial and operational management skills, including budgeting, cost control, stock management, financial accountability and informed decision-making.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to build relationships, manage multiple priorities and coordinate services across different locations and events.
  • Relevant hospitality qualifications and professional expertise, including food hygiene certification, training capability, industry awareness, and a commitment to sustainability, equality, diversity, inclusion and information governance.
