We wish to appoint an exceptional Research Fellow in Health and Care Evaluation to join the Prevention and Early Intervention research theme of the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration for Greater Manchester (NIHR ARC-GM) based at the University of Manchester. NIHR ARC-GM aims to undertake timely, needs-driven, transformative applied health and social care research to benefit communities locally and nationally.
The postholder will conduct robust and timely service evaluation in response to the needs of the funder and other stakeholders. You will develop, undertake and report high quality research and evaluation using your expertise and experience in qualitative and/or mixed methods methodologies and approaches. At ARC-GM, co-production is at the heart of our approach, and you will work with our partners to translate their strategic priorities into answerable research questions, ensuring that our research is relevant, useful and applicable to service needs and achieves impact on policy and practice. This post offers the opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary, supportive team to build relationships with decision makers. The post holder will provide timely insights, helping guide implementation, scaling, or de-implementation. We also hope that the postholder can contribute to methodological development, including approaches for short-timescale evaluations.
The successful candidate will work with Professor Pete Bower, Dr Christine Camacho and other members of the NIHR ARC team and will be based in the Division of Population Health, Health Services Research & Primary Care in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health.
