Job Description

Applications are invited for the role of Project Manager to support the Digital Infrastructure programme for Manchester’s NIHR BioMedical Research Centre (hereafter,“BRC”).

The post holder will be based at The University of Manchester’s Centre for Health Informatics within the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health.

The post holder will report to the Digital Infrastructure Operations Manager, and will be responsible to Professor Niels Peek, the BRC Digital Infrastructure lead; whilst working closely with operational, academic and research colleagues across the BRC programme.

The post-holder will responsible for managing the day-to-day digital infrastructure activities for the BRC programme, including:

  • Facilitating digital infrastructure collaborations and support for BRC research themes and clusters.
  • Managing a portfolio of collaborations with the NIHR Health Informatics Collaborative
  • Management of the operations to enable research to be conducted using the Greater Manchester Care Record

This position offers an ideal opportunity for a well-motivated individual with excellent management, operations, communication, and interpersonal skills to work in a multi-disciplinary health and digital research environment. The successful applicant should be educated to degree level (or equivalent), and have a track record of managing complex projects.

This is a full-time post and the post-holder will be office-based at the University of Manchester campus on Oxford Road. However, we are open to discussing a hybrid of home and office working.
