Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Data Analyst to join the data processing and analysis team within The Trauma Audit & Research Network (TARN). TARN is the mandated audit for trauma care across England and collects data for the purpose of analysis and dissemination which in turn, aims to drive an improvement in the standards of care for severely injured patients.

As part of a small team working closely with the registry manager, medical statistician and other data analysts you will play a key technical role at TARN in producing and delivering analysis and reports.

You will have experience of interrogating an RDBMS (preferably Microsoft SQL server 2008/2012) for the purpose of data analysis, excellent communication skills, and be able to work with people at all levels.

The post will incorporate hybrid working (in line with University of Manchester principles) and will therefore involve working both in the TARN offices, based at Salford Royal Trust (Northern Care Alliance, NHS Foundation Trust) and working from home. Travel to meetings and events (with some overnight stay) may also be required.

As an equal opportunities employer we welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of age, sex, gender (or gender identity), ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and transgender status.  All appointments are made on merit.
