
The Criminology department sits within the School of Social Sciences and is a research-oriented department delivering excellent teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate students. We are seeking to appoint a new Lecturer in Criminology to support core teaching on the BA Criminology programme.
Research interests of the successful candidate will complement one or more areas of research excellence in the Department of Criminology, including financial crime, compliance, and regulation; drugs (markets, consumption, policy); violence and its aftermath; prisons, punishment and policing; and inequalities connected to offending and victimisation. We particularly encourage applications from candidates whose substantive areas of expertise include prisons, policing, research methods and data analysis, and global perspectives.
Applicants must have a relevant PhD (or equivalent) and have experience teaching at the university level.
