Our wellbeing teams sits within our People and Organisational Development Directorate and works with Professional Services, our Cultural Institutions, and our Faculties to roll out and embed our strategic approach to wellbeing across The University of Manchester.
This role reports to the Head of Staff Wellbeing and is about delivering our wellbeing and mental health strategy on a day-to-day basis, encompassing all aspects of wellbeing - financial, psychological, physical, and social wellbeing. We're seeking an enthusiastic and pragmatic wellbeing manager with experience in designing and implementing wellbeing initiatives. You'll be able to bring the latest thinking around positive mental health and wellbeing to drive our approach and agenda and be influencing leaders and managers in creating and enhancing a healthy culture.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a large and complex environment; be professionally qualified (MCIPD, Occupational Psychology or relevant equivalent qualification) or have a broad-based business qualification supported by practical experience in a significant range of wellbeing and positive mental health activities. They will be credible and engaging, able to form strong relationships with leaders, managers and experts across the organisation. They will be comfortable delivering sessions to large and small groups. They will be able to network internally and externally with strong change management, stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
