Job Description

Applications are invited for a Lecturer in Pure Mathematics, to start in April 2024 or at a mutually agreed alternative date before September 2024. We are looking for mathematicians of outstanding ability, who are seeking a friendly, supportive and collegial environment in which to develop as world-class researchers and teachers, and who will contribute to the continued development of the Pure Mathematics Group and to the life of the Department of Mathematics, in the School of Natural Sciences.

Applicants are sought in pure mathematics, and in particular in analysis, dynamical systems, geometry, logic and number theory.

Applicants should have an emerging or established track record of outstanding research in (at least) one of the above areas of pure mathematics (with allowance made for career breaks) and a genuine commitment to, and enthusiasm for, teaching, research and the development of others.
