Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Research Project Manager to manage and co-ordinate the ‘Catch Up Screen’ project funded by Yorkshire Cancer Research. The study sponsor is the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. In collaboration with Primary Care Networks in Manchester and Hull, the Project will offer a urine-based ‘catch-up’ HPV test to identify and manage HPV positive individuals at highest risk. The post will support Professor Emma Crosbie to deliver the Manchester cohort.  

The post holder will be required to support this cross-institution research to successfully deliver the project objectives and will be responsible for the co-ordination and day to day running of the study. The post holder will facilitate the selection, invitation, recruitment and follow up of participants in collaboration with partnering GP practices. The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate experience of working in an academic or NHS research setting, research participant liaison and have a proven track record of delivering research projects.

The post holder will be based in the Division of Cancer Sciences in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health at St Mary’s Hospital. Applicants must have a driving license and own vehicle as the post will involve travel to research sites across Greater Manchester.
