Applications are invited for a Research Associate in Pure Mathematics, to start in April 2024 for a fixed term of three years.
You will work with Dr Gareth Jones and Dr Martin Orr on the EPSRC-funded project “Effective methods in o-minimality and diophantine geometry”. The project aims to combine ideas from o-minimality with tools from diophantine geometry to make progress on unlikely intersection problems. It would suit someone with a background in diophantine geometry, and especially applications of o-minimality to diophantine problems.
