Job Description

Come and work on the ‘Lung Cancer Screening in Older Adults’ study.

We are seeking a suitably qualified, full-time Research Associate with mixed methods experience to undertake research activities and support patient & public involvement with a collaborative project focused on exploring the suitability and decision-making needs of older adults in relation to participation in lung cancer screening. This project is funded by the Greater Manchester Cancer Alliance and will be delivered by experts from the Centre for Primary Care & Health Services Research and the Department of Thoracic Oncology at the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

The post is due to start as soon as possible at 1.0 FTE for 15months. Applicants will have (or about to submit) a PhD and have experience with mixed methods research and patient and public involvement in research. The candidate will have excellent communication and teamworking skills, and be able to work independently with support from the project team.

Interviews to be held week commencing 8 January 2024.
