
Maybe the thought of working in a library hasn’t occurred to you before, but if you are an outgoing team player who loves working with people, providing a friendly welcome and excellent customer service, then our Customer Service Team at The University of Manchester Library could be the opportunity for you! We work in a proactive, fast paced Customer Service environment, providing a front line service across several different sites, together with online customer interactions and we’re looking for people to join our team.
We are recruiting for two Customer Services Advisor roles, one 35 hour a week role all year round and one 20 hour a week role all year round role. Both roles require the working of a shift pattern.
You will offer a positive, effective welcome to our customers, both face-to-face and online, to proactively engage them with our services, listen to their needs, share your expertise and resolve any concerns quickly and seamlessly. Providing an effective contribution to our customer focused team, you will assist customers and colleagues alike, offering guidance and sharing knowledge. Drawing on your strong understanding of customer service you will be an ambassador for University and Library values and strategy. You will have the opportunity to develop specialisms in specific areas of our offer.

On Wednesday 7th February 2024 we are holding an in person Open Day session from 10am to 4pm in the University of Manchester Main Library. There is no need to book just come along. You do not need to attend the whole session.

Don’t worry if you are not able to come along, we are also holding two online introductory sessions on Thursday 8th February 2024 11am-12pm and 2pm-3pm. You do not need to attend both sessions.
