Job Description

We are seeking a suitably qualified, full-time Research Associate with mixed methods experience to undertake research activities and support patient & public involvement in a national trial of prostate cancer screening. The TRANSFORM trial is a UK-wide prostate cancer screening trial funded by Prostate Cancer UK and the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Health Technology Assessment (HTA) programme. The trial will recruit hundreds of thousands of men with the aim of generating robust evidence for an effective prostate cancer screening programme that could be rolled out across the NHS. The trial is a collaboration between leading UK institutions including the University of Manchester.


The post is due to start as soon as possible at 1.0 FTE for 36 months. Applicants will have (or about to submit) a PhD and have experience with mixed methods research and patient and public involvement in research. The candidate will have excellent communication and teamworking skills, and be able to work independently with support from the project team.
