
We are looking for a motivated and capable Research Assistant to join a pilot project investigating digital data privacy in agricultural platforms, with a particular focus on rural communities in the Global South - especially sub-Saharan Africa. This interdisciplinary research lies at the intersection of data justice, digital agriculture, and development studies. The project will map the local and global flows of agricultural and farmer data in selected countries, examining the emerging political economy of datafication, platformization, and financialization in agriculture. The successful candidate will be conducting digital data privacy risks analysis and mobile apps analysis, hence technical background and interest in online tracking technologies is desired.
