Job Description


The School of Medical Sciences are looking to appoint a Deputy School Operations Manager to support operational activity within the school. The Deputy School Operations Manager will be a member of Professional Services (PS) and has a key strategic and operational role. They will assist one or more Heads of Division and the wider School leadership team in the implementation and delivery of strategic objectives providing guidance and procedural advice regarding operational, organisational, governance and compliance matters.

Candidates should have experience of managing and delivering exceptional customer service providing excellent administrative support including the management of staff and resources as well as working in partnership with a wide range of stakeholders. They must possess excellent problem solving and negotiation skills and have experience of budget and financial management. They will be required to have a dynamic approach, as well as experience of independent and collaborative problem solving and fostering a culture of teamwork, whilst being able to support and develop continuous improvement to process and performance across the business area.
