The University of Manchester is looking for an exceptional leader to shape the future of student entrepreneurship as Director of the Masood Entrepreneurship Centre (MEC).
This is a rare opportunity to lead one of the UK’s most established university entrepreneurship centres at a time of major ambition and transformation. Sitting within Unit M — the University’s innovation capability — you will play a central role in building Manchester’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and supporting the next generation of founders, innovators and changemakers.
You will:
Lead and scale entrepreneurship education and start-up support across the University
Build powerful partnerships with investors, founders, corporates and alumni
Shape strategy, drive innovation and deliver measurable impact
Lead a high-performing team within a fast-moving innovation environment
Position Manchester as a globally recognised hub for student entrepreneurship
We’re looking for a commercially minded, highly credible leader with experience spanning entrepreneurship, innovation ecosystems, venture support or start-up growth. You may come from higher education, accelerators, venture building, innovation districts or the start-up ecosystem itself and bring energy, strategic vision and a passion for helping founders thrive.
This is more than a leadership role. It is an opportunity to shape the future of entrepreneurship at one of the world’s leading universities.
