Research Project Manager

We are seeking an organised and proactive Research Project Manager to support the delivery of MERMAID (Mastering Effectiveness Research by Meta-Analysing Trial and Real-World Evidence in Immune-mediated Inflammatory Diseases), within a dynamic, inclusive environment.

You will be responsible for:

• Manage day-to-day delivery of the MERMAID project, coordinating activities, tracking progress against milestones, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring outputs are delivered on time and within budget.
• Identify risks and issues, working with the Principal Investigator and research team to agree practical solutions and support effective project governance.
• Prepare and support ethics and regulatory submissions, study documentation, funder reporting, data management activity, and compliance with relevant research governance requirements.
• Organise and support project meetings, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, respond to enquiries, prepare agendas and minutes, and track follow-up actions.
• Support research dissemination, collaboration, publication activity, public engagement, financial monitoring, and the development of future funding opportunities.

About You

Essential Criteria:

• Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience in project management or administration.
• Experience of working successfully in a multi-disciplinary environment and liaising with stakeholders across organisations.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently, using initiative, sound judgement and problem-solving skills to progress work.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, IT and financial administration skills, including handling complex or confidential information appropriately.

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience of research methods or working within research programmes.
• Experience in pharmacoepidemiology or related clinical research areas.
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice or relevant regulatory frameworks.
