
A position is available for a technically adept Research Software Engineer to support image processing, text mining and machine learning experts to compose their tools into computational workflows or pipelines. You will work on the SYNTHESYS+ project; a pan-European infrastructure project that aims to allow European Museums to collaborate on their collections. The position is part of the eScience Lab team (esciencelab.org.uk) at the Department of Computer Science.
You will deploy and develop the Specimen Data Refinery (SDR) to aid in the cataloguing and execution of the composed workflows and the use of cloud-based platforms. You will get a chance to develop their coordination and community skills in this position.
