
A temporary (three-year) lecturer position, with a full time teaching focus, is available for an outstanding and ambitious electrical power engineer. As well as its world-renowned undergraduate courses, the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering is host three full-time power MScs (Electrical Power Systems Engineering, Renewable Energy and Clean Technology and Advanced Electrical Power Systems Engineering) as well as a distance learning electrical power systems engineering MSc. Given the growing global Net Zero agenda, and the drive towards electrification, the Department is seeking to revise its taught offering to better support this transition.
You will work with academic colleagues and professional support staff to teach existing material and develop new material for both undergraduate and MSc courses, for both full-time and distance learning units. You will have a PhD in a relevant degree and/or relevant equivalent experience. Relevant postdoctoral (or equivalent) experience from work in a power utility, power equipment manufacturer, or teaching in higher education is essential.
