We are expanding our eLearning team to ensure that our students have a consistently excellent experience of online and blended learning at The University of Manchester. We are investing in a number of new roles, to join our existing eLearning team, to enhance our blended learning activities and help us develop more flexible provision for the future.
We are looking for a number of skilled, experienced and enthusiastic people to be part of a team of Learning Technologists providing support for staff across The University of Manchester. Working flexibly and under the direction of the eLearning Manager in the assigned team, Learning Technologists will support the design of high quality and effective online and blended learning to enhance education provision for our students, engaging with academic colleagues in the design of teaching, learning and assessment to provide students with an excellent experience.
You will also provide advice and guidance to students, and to other colleagues in the University’s Professional Services team across the institution, and may supervise other members of the eLearning team.
Successful candidates will have significant experience of using learning design methodologies and be able to show where your work has had a tangible impact on the design and online delivery of units or programmes of study. Experience of line managing staff and working in a (UK) further / higher education environment is desirable, as is experience in supporting video conferencing, online assessments and overseas learners.
Roles are available on a full time and part time working patterns. Initially all roles will be home based whilst our campus is closed due to Coronavirus. Once campus reopens, these roles will return to being campus based, but we will be open to considering a range of flexible working options that may include an element of continued home working.
