
The University of Manchester welcomes applications for a 1 year fixed term post across the grade 6 and grade 7 lecturer scale, dependent on qualifications and experience, within the Department of Materials. As a dynamic lecturer, you will be expected to make a significant contribution at the interface of the discipline, whilst developing student skills and knowledge at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Yu will contribute to teaching in the area of Fashion Marketing – (which may include but is not limited to: Fashion Marketing, Multichannel Marketing, Strategic Marketing, Brand Management, Digital Marketing, Fashion Consumer Behaviour etc.). This is a teaching and scholarship focused role and you will contribute to the design, development and ongoing refinement of Fashion and Textile Technology teaching content and will develop innovative teaching, assessment marking and support to students on the taught programmes offered by the Department (where appropriate).
The Department of Materials is the largest in Europe and has specialist research focusing on textiles, design, retailing, management, marketing and fashion along with aerospace, composites, metals, ceramics, biomaterials, polymers. Accordingly the diversity of the Department allows for an interdisciplinary approach to materials manufacture and design.
