Job Description

Are you a fundraiser looking for a new role where you can grow your skills and raise funds for projects that change the world? How would you like to join one of the UK’s most successful university fundraising teams?

At The University of Manchester, we’re looking for a new Trusts and Foundations Officer to join our Global and Transformational Philanthropy Team. If you’re a fundraiser ready for your next step, we’d love to hear from you.

As our Trusts and Foundations Officer, you’ll join an ambitious team delivering a programme of fundraising activity for a broad range of projects such as scholarships, research, capital and cultural institutions. You’ll also take specific responsibility for our international foundations fundraising.

We’re looking for someone who is keen to challenge themselves and continually improve what we’re doing. You’ll have professional experience in a fundraising role, a good understanding of relationship management, and you’ll be skilled at crafting compelling copy. Importantly, you’ll have a strong personal belief in the power of universities to change lives and change the world.

You’ll join a friendly and high-performing Division, full of people who care deeply about what they do. As well as working closely with the rest of the Global and Transformational Philanthropy Team, you’ll collaborate with colleagues across Donor Relations, Insight & Analytics and Major Gifts to create an excellent experience for our supporters.

As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons and all appointments will be made on merit. As we are committed to the principles of the Race Equality Charter Mark, we would particularly welcome applications from the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) community who are currently under-represented at this level in this area.

Please note that we are unable to respond to enquiries, accept CVs or applications from Recruitment Agencies.
