
The School of Engineering invites applications for the role of Head of Teaching, Learning and Student Experience. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager, working in partnership with key professional services and academic colleagues.
The Head of School Teaching, Learning and Student Experience is responsible to the Head of School Operations for managing and directing the overall provision of Teaching, Learning and Student Experience Professional Services operations within the School. This includes the working in partnership with the Head of Faculty Teaching, Learning and Student Experience and the School’s Head of Education in order to ensure that the School’s undergraduate and taught postgraduate academic programmes are delivered efficiently and effectively and that the student experience is positive.
The Head of School Head of Teaching, Learning and Student Experience works closely with senior academic and Professional Services colleagues in the School as well as working across the Faculty, and with colleagues in the University’s Directorate for the Student Experience and other Faculties to ensure consistency of policy, processes, structure and procedures, and to disseminate and embed best practice.
You work in partnership with the School’s Head of Education along with other key colleagues to ensure efficient and effective operations and support are in place to deliver high quality programme administration to all staff and students. You will work proactively with colleagues across the School, Faculty and wider University to ensure delivery of systems to monitor, support and enable an excellent student experience.
You must have experience of working at a senior level of management to drive strategy, budget, and performance in Teaching, Learning and Student Experience with a proven history of achieved results. It is also essential that you also have experience of leading people through change and developing a culture of continuous improvement, partnership and collaboration, and resilience.
