Job Description

An opportunity has arisen to join one the most significant and high-profile research and development projects in the UK working as part of the team leading on the transfer of knowledge and technology around 2D materials and their application to companies in the UK and beyond. As well as accessing state of the art facilities and expertise, they will also be exposed to a breadth of world class research and the opportunity to work with some of the leading academics in graphene and other 2D materials research.

Working across facilities such as GEIC, NGI and the new Henry Royce Institute for Advanced Materials, the Business Development Manager will have a key role in proactively identifying, supporting both new and existing industry partners to help drive the commercial exploitation of innovations in 2D materials through industry collaborations.

We seek suitable applications from individuals with a science and/or engineering background with some B2B experience in sales. Equally, candidates will also be able to be expected to demonstrate some marketing knowledge and experience as they will play an active role in developing plans to meet our marketing and sales objectives.

Reporting to the Director for Business Development as well as working closely with our CEO, we seek applications from candidates who are pro-active, have an eye for detail, excellent organisation skills, and understand the value of offering an excellent service to customers and clients
