The University invites applications for the above posts available from 1 September 2021 for a year (2.5 posts) and from 1 September 2021 for 2 years (2 posts). The Politics Department is one of the United Kingdom's leading providers of internationally-recognised research and teaching in Politics.
The Department is looking to appoint 4.5 Fixed Term Teaching Focused Lecturers in the areas of International Politics, Comparative Politics and Political Theory to help teach undergraduate courses at levels 1 and 2 and to assist in the delivery of selected MA modules. Successful applicants will also be asked to provide UG and MA project/dissertation supervision.
Applicants must have, or be about to complete, a relevant PhD in Politics or cognate discipline; be able to demonstrate high quality teaching including using a range of delivery techniques to enthuse and engage students; have the potential to supervise dissertations and be committed to developing the quality of the student experience.
Interviews may be held via teleconferencing (Zoom or similar).
